How It Works

Open your PDF, then create a signature by drawing it with your mouse, trackpad, or touchscreen, or by typing your name and choosing a handwriting-style font. Once your signature is ready, click anywhere on any page to place it, then drag to reposition or resize it until it sits exactly where you want. When the document looks right, download the finished file. Because PDFMarkr loads your document into memory and works locally, there is no upload step and nothing is stored on a server.

Private by Design

Many electronic signature services ask you to create an account and upload your document to their cloud. PDFMarkr takes the opposite approach: your PDF and your signature are processed entirely inside your browser, in RAM. There is no sign-up, no installation, and no watermark stamped onto your output. It works on any modern browser across Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android.

Honest Limitations

This tool adds a visible electronic signature — an image of your signature stamped into the PDF. It is well suited to everyday agreements and internal approvals, and it is what most people mean when they talk about signing a PDF. However, it is not a certificate-based cryptographic or digital signature, so it does not embed a tamper-evident certificate or a verified audit trail. If a specific legal or compliance process requires a qualified digital signature backed by a trusted certificate authority, you will need a dedicated e-signature platform for that step. For the many documents that simply need a signature placed in the right spot, this tool does the job quickly and privately.
